Ice Pigging™
If you're wondering, “How does Ice Pigging™ work?” we will briefly explain. Ice Pigging™ is an award-winning, innovative, sustainable, advanced pipeline cleaning technology to improve water quality and aid asset management. An ice pig is a semi-solid material made from water and table salt that is pumped through a pipeline to completely clear debris, biofilms, fat, oil, grease, and more. This cleaning method can work 1,000 times more effectively than unidirectional flushing, and can generally clean more pipelines daily than jetting and air scouring. This innovative approach can save pipeline companies time and money while boosting cleanliness metrics.
Conventional Pigging & Swabbing
APS can also clean your pipelines by deploying conventional pigs. Pipeline pigging is another common method of cleaning all types of pipelines, including water, oil, gas, and industrial. A transmitter is placed inside a cavity in the pig to track it during deployment. The pig will then pass through the pipeline clearing any debris and build-up and leaving you with a clean pipe.
Pipeline Inspection & Condition Analysis
American Pipeline Solutions uses a Smart Pig for the most comprehensive inspection and condition analysis possible. This process allows the APS team to examine the properties of metallic pipes and determine integrity and damage, and can accurately estimate the remaining useful life left in the pipeline. The Smart Pig will collect inspection data that is then examined by the APS team so you can meet individual pipeline requirements.
Internal Pipe Coating
Before deciding to replace pipes, take the preventative measure of using APS' internal pipe coating. First, APS will clean your pipeline and let it dry completely. Then using Picote technology, APS will apply 3 to 6 coats of the epoxy coating to seal the inside of your pipes. We help customers get the full life out of their lines with our internal pipe coating service.
